The move to online trade during pandemic restrictions has been a lifesaver for some farm businesses.

Australia Post will minimize the trade from June 30.

” It will probably destroy our business instantly without any logic behind why they must do so,” Nicki Dyson, an advertising coordinator with Toohey Farms in north Queensland, said.

Farmers have now been delivering satchels of 3-5 kilograms direct to clients and stores with regards to avocados, bananas and even garlic among some of the produce to be affected. (more…)
